Why should I train my dog?
What kind of relationship would you be able to have with another person who does not speak the same language as you? Sure, you can use body language and a few hand gestures, but there would be no great depth in your conversations. The same concept applies to your dog. Professional dog training helps you to develop a language both you and your dog can understand. Dogs can not speak human and vice versa, so trainers help you create a language in between. We teach you both how to speak the new language, so you can nurture and develop your bond with your canine companion.

Who are our professional dog trainers?
Our trainers are highly educated individuals with extensive experience handling and training many different types of dogs. Only the most devoted and patient animal lovers can join the ranks of Tailchasers Incorporated's professional dog trainers. The dog and human bond is too precious to trust to just anyone. After extensive interviewing and training, our professional dog trainers participate in an apprenticeship program to prove their integrity and compassion for animals and to demonstrate their problem solving expertise. All trainers are required to participate in continuing education to keep their training skills up to date.

What techniques do you use?
Every dog is different. Our professional dog trainers are experienced in many different techniques, so we can find the perfect match for your dog. Our methods involve positive reinforcement and reward based training. We want your dog to enjoy our training sessions. Learning should be fun for the dog and the owner, so you both will want to train more often.

What is dog tutoring?
Sometimes there is not enough room in a family’s schedule to adequately practice training with the canine companion. While you are at work or on vacation, one of our dog trainers can come to your house and train your dog. Your own private trainer meets with you at your home to discuss any behavior problems to be corrected and the commands you would like your dog to learn. Our dog tutoring program is similar to a board and train program without having to send your dog away. Your pet can still enjoy time with your family while learning how to be the perfect canine companion.

Can you help with behavior problems?
Behavior counseling involves research to discover what is causing the undesired behavior, so that a modification program can be designed. Our gentle methods employ carefully designed exercises to overcome even the nastiest of behavior problems. Our trainers are experienced in many types of behavior modification, and will tailor a program to fit your dog's specific needs.
